One of the many pleasures of being a seamstress (I use that term loosely) is to make special items for people I love and care about. I was honored to be able to make the baby bedding for my sister’s soon-to-be son, Haywood. I am thrilled to let you get a sneak peak at the baby bedding all set up ready for his arrival.
Isn’t her bedding beautiful??? My sister designed it!
A close-up of the pattern and bed skirt.
As a small touch I added a pillow with his nickname in the mix. I love her changing table.
Last summer, when she was like 5 weeks along, we decided to up and spray paint the changing table green. We just knew it was going to be a boy. Wow, we got lucky!!
I can not tell you how excited I am to become an Aunt again to her precious little boy. My sister only has 3 weeks (or less) to go. Yippee!!
Lauren, I am so happy for you and I love you with all my heart. I am praying for you and Haywood. Can’t wait to meet him!

It's BEAUTIFUL Maridith! LOVE IT! :-)
So pretty! I made both bedding sets for my sister's children too...I boy and a girl...it warms my heart knowing they are sleeping under something I made!
It looks SO good!! I just LOVE the crib skirt!! You are so talented!! :)
Wow - you don't look like sisters at all (just kidding).
I love the bedding - very pretty.
I laugh at the changing table - I have one just like it (I mean just like it) that I painted blue for the girls (it was white - just like that one).
I have that same changing table in baby boy blue. Love that green and LOVE the bedding you made. And BTW, you and Lauren look a lot alike.
I love my bedding for this little boy. As Will and I were putting some finishing touches on the room today we looked at each other and said, "man I really hope this is a boy!"
Thank you thank you for making beautiful bedding once again for me! I love you.
I LOVE the baby bedding! What great colors!! You did an awesome job sewing it and adding all those extra finishing touches. You and your sister look so much alike :)
