18” Doll Socks Upcycled from Girl Socks {Tutorial}

I am excited to share with you a fabulous and EASY tutorial on how to make 18” doll socks from girl socks!! This will take you all of 15 minutes to make, the hardest part might be finding a pair of old socks that no longer fit your grand/daughter.

18 Doll Socks

What you need:

1 old sock, sewing machine, scissors

Directions

Get your old sock and cut off the foot section.

Make sure the length of the tube is at LEAST 3” in height.  Then cut the sock tube in half  (like pictured below.)

Sock Cut up

Next turn wrong sides out , fold in half, and sew with a 1/8” seam all of the unfinished edges. Be sure to do reinforce the beginning and end of your stitch.  These will be pulled on A LOT! Do this for both socks.

Fold in half

Turn inside out and YOU ARE DONE!!!  She can wear the socks up or flipped down…DSC_4503

Admire your work and see how happy your grand/daughter will be with real socks for her doll!!  This is my daughter and her doll Lanie…

This is a great way to upcycle your grand/daughter’s old socks rather then use them as dust rags!!!

Great idea for those socks that lost their mate in the washer. Pinning this so I can enJOY it later. Thanks for sharing. Found you at Creation Corner.
