Recycled Post: Burlap Koozies

The Recycled Burlap Koozie I made back in Mach 2010 is one of my all time favorite burlap projects. I absolutely love them and still use them to this day. Since this week the challenge over at One Month To Win It was burlap I thought I would repost this oldie but goodie. Plus, back then I had like 20 followers so there is a good chance you missed this!!

My new set of koozies!

Got a nice selection of old Koozies lying around the house? If you have been to more then 2 weddings in your life I bet you do too!

Here are 3 or the 4 matching koozies from Tiffany and Greg's Wedding. Great people just the color and style are not working for me anymore. BTW- I am not sure why we got 4 koozies from their wedding when only 2 of us went. Good chance we had more then two drinks and got a koozie for each drink....I am just guessing. ;)

How to make a Recycled Burlap Koozie.

Cut your burlap 5"X12"

Fold down top and bottom to the height of the koozie hot glue down. I used a low temp glue gun (no burned fingers for me.)
Then on the logo side place a strip of hot glue and and attach burlap. Roll the koozie to place burlap around, hot gluing the top and bottom. Then fold over raw end and glue.

For the finishing details I cut out an "F" (actually saved from this project) and used a Sharpie Pen to fill in.

My matching set of koozies. LOVE THEM. After thinking about it a little more it might of been smart to make each one with a different color koozie (then you know which one is yours.)

Love them!! I think these will make great gifts too!! I need to think about who I can give a set too...maybe a housewarming gift, hostess gift, etc.

A Koozie is not complete without something inside....

Aww much better!!
