No More Wrinkled Christmas Wreath Bows

Yay, Yah…I know I am a little slow on getting organized but it has been COLD here in good ol’ NC and I am a fair weather type girl.   My wreaths were off my windows by Jan 1st they were just laying around in the garage until I was ready to store them away.  Plus, I wanted to take extra care of my bows this year and needed time to get my stuff together.

This is what I created to organized my Christmas Bows!! DSC_0429

I have a traditional home and I pretty much decorate it the same way each year.  9 wreaths on 9 windows and garland around the door.  I might jazz it up with garland around the railing but this year I didn’t get around to it.                                                                                          DSC_0544

The problem is every time my hubby and I pack them up in their appropriate boxes he squishes all 9 wreaths with bows and garland in one large plastic box and the next year I have to iron on my bows!! Ugh!! Who wants to iron bows?

I have come up with a solution.  A bow holder to store my bows for 11 months!

All you need is a strip of wood, drill, & a pencil…DSC_0426

Mark your holes accordingly to how big your bows are for spacing.  DSC_0427

Get out the big boy drill bit and make a hole on top to hook to the wall.DSC_0428

I have to include a picture of my little helper! Although, he was very distressed that I was working with daddy’s tools!!  I need to teach this boy that tools are not just for boys!!!                                           DSC_0437

Here is the finished product.  No more wrinkled bows!!DSC_0429

Here is the backside!                                                                      DSC_0430

I will put a plastic bag over them and hang them in the shed!! Then next year it will be a SNAP to hang my wreaths.

It only took me 4 years to figure out how to save my bows!!  Maybe this will save you some trouble next year!!
