Happy New Year and 2010 Wrap-Up

I hope that you all had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year in your own special way. My husband and I hosted our second annual New Year's Eve Party and had a blast!! What a great way to end 2010!!

On New Year's Day I was thinking about everything that has happened in 2010 and it was a great year. A great year for my family as we continue to be so blessed. Then I was thinking about this silly ol' blog. I love this blog. I love the people I meet, I love the motivation it gives me to create, I love it when I inspire others. I am not the best writer (and I appreciate that no one calls me out on it with every post) but I do love writing on this blog and sharing what I am up too. Creating, sewing, and designing are the three things that make me tick. I am in my happy place when I am doing any one of these three. Then to share what makes me happy and get responses from people all over the world they like what I have created...truly send me over the moon. So as 2010 has come to an end, I want to thank all my follower and non-followers (who read and never comment) for making 2010 such a great year for me. Thank you, thank you!!

My original goal for this blog was to make all Homemade Gifts. I have done that for the most part but what I have found it my true gift has been to make something to close to nothing and make clothes for my children all in the effort to save money. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite projects from 2010.

Favorite Boy Gifts

I love Seersucker!

Recycled Burlap Cozies

The project that challenged me and completing it was a huge accomplishment...

My first slipcover (I still have the matching one to make)

My favorite homemade kids clothes:

Well, I think that is a pretty good wrap-up of 2010, I think 2010 was a good year for me and my personal growth as a seamstress. I look forward to what 2011 will bring for me and even the challenges. I am not sure what direction this blog will take as my family grows, but I hope to continue to sew and continue to meet fellow creative bloggers. You are all amazing.

Happy New Year!!
