I am back making more pillows. To me pillows are so versatile and if you make them as an envelope pillow you only have to store the outer shell (only the 'boo' pillow is an envelope pillow).
Right now, I am LOVING Candy Corn Crafts...do you think that is because I have a serious sweet tooth????
This pillow was made with left over material from my kids Halloween Bags from last year and drop cloth material. Believe it or not the rick-rack (perfect colors) were even in my stash of crafting junk.
Then I saw a tutorial on Mamma's Kinda Crafty and realized I had ALL the material I needed upstairs and rushed to make this. We placed our orange and yellow differently but I copied my BOO pillow Candy Corns.
Then I couldn't stop....I had just enough material to make a shirred skirt for my favorite niece, McKenna. Believe it or not my grandma had given me a spool of elastic thread (probably 15 years old) never opened and I decided to give it a try. I followed Tasha's from Creation Corner instructions for Shirred Skirt and made a Candy Corn skirt...
This skirt should fit a 9 month old! I am going to make her a matching top I just need to buy some 9 month onsies.
My first shirring experience and I am hooked. I am going to make my daughter a skirt in the same technique soon. She is going to think I totally rock.
All this talk about candy corns and now that is what I am craving. I think I will be making a stop off at Wal-greens to buy me a package!! Yum, yum!! Now that will cost me a $1.00 but all these projects cost me $0.
I am sharing these projects here....
